AXTAL IS QUALIFIED MANUFACTURER OF PRECISION OSCILLATORS FOR SPACE APPLICATIONS
English, News 23.06.2014 Our customer has qualified AXTAL's AXIOM6060 series for the application in the geo-stationary (GEO) weather satellite Feng Yun. A second purchase is anticipated. Besides this we are shipping this OCXO to Singapore. At the moment we aremanufacturing a new lot for the application at the International Space Stgation (ISS).
The ultra-low noise precision OCXO are designed to withstand a radiation total dose of 100 kRad, which is a typical requirement for geo-stationary satellites. This is accomplished by the use of specially qualified add-on components and quartz crystal units made from "swept" quartz material. The production of these modules is performed under a clean-room environment by our ESA-certified employees in our facility in Mosbach/Germany.
For applications in low earth-orbiting (LEO) satellites AXTAL is offering models with for lower radiation doses ov 10 to 15 kRad(Si).
